Doesn’t taste as hoppy as most stouts, but isn’t too sweet either. A pleasant dark beer, that could be drank like a session beer. Good stuff. No. 1 Brazilian beer I’ve had. scanovajr (361), Stanford, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2006 Tasted in Vai Tomar no Kuka, heavy metal/chopper bar in Goiânia, after a rock´n roll festival. We had them a classic bull label brazilian black beer. It´s a very dark cloudy black beer with a small but creamy brown head. Sugar and caramel aroma with a notes of cola, chocolate and malted cereals. Coffee, roasted malt, caramel and a lot of sugar flavors. It´s a sugar-caramel beer? Sweet, sweet aftertaste. Good for pregnant, that is truth! jbrus (4893), Delft, Netherlands

Impressive smokey aroma. It seems like a combination of a stout and a smoked beer (I haven’t tasted a Rauchbier yet). There are notes of prunes, figs and hints of coffee. Tobacco is also present.
Flavor is sweet and has traces of sweetened coffee, mokka, figs and tobacco smoke. Sweet with almost no bitterness, but very roasty character. Weird but pleasant.
Soft, velvety palate. Just a little more thickness would help this to be great. Good sweet finish and aftertaste. I feel the smoke for minutes after sipping this. A little more bitterness to offset the sweetness would make this beer world class. So Brazil has its highlights too....many thanks to my brother for this one.

Mild toasty dark caramel aroma has some mild light fruits. Sugary dark caramel, lightly oxidized body has a sweet sticky finish.
