Smells of wet socks and vomit, lumberjack shirts, and stale nicotine smoke. Tastes like cardboard and wool. These days when out in the cabin I prefer turpentine. Never could drink more than a couple of these without suffering a rippin’ hangover the next day. Now apparently I can sink 7 or 8 and live to tell about it. Looks and smells okay, but still with the unforgettable "malt likker" taste. Say no more. Vertical Bacon Strips (889), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Poured out a monstorous white cap which took quite a while to simmer down to the customary skim. Lots of lacing left from this plain gold brew. Smells just wonderful - barley, slightly sweet and just enough urine to keep you coming back for more. Taste is easy enough to hammer back - tasty malts, stale apple juice and corn. Light medium bodied, good carbonation with mild bitterness. Leaves a sharp sour taste in your mouth. Now crush the can on your forehead and continue. Or fill it full of cigarette butts. The choice is yours. dkazuk (247), winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Golden amber coloured beer with a medium sized white head. Aroma of dusty malts. Sweet flavour, a little bready although thin. Not great but has some substance. pantani (1896), Salinas, California, USA

Decent golden colour with a white head. Aroma with some malt. Medium body, grainy and grassy malt feel and perhaps a vague trace of hops in the finish. A decent Pale lager, but not really much of a Malt Liquor. 040792 mullet2007 (206), St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2007 Pours a pale yellow to golden brownish sort of color, with a reasonably large white head that last for a while and leaves a little bit of lacing. Sweet fruity sort of aroma, and the flavor isn’t really all that exciting. It sort of has a corny flavor with hints of bitterness. Medium to high carbonation but still kind of watery mouthfeel. All in all, a reasonably enjoyable beer.
