Pale yellow pour, white head which holds on longer than a lot of mainstream beers, even leaving some rings in the glass. Corn and grain nose, rather harsh. Some corny, sweet malt flavour. Finishes roughly with some alcohol and harsh grains and papery notes. Sharp carbonation, weak watery body. Eastern Canadians - you aren’t missing anything. Don’t let the "Premium Quality" graphic on the can fool you. Ughsmash (4052), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Aug 31, 2006 Bottled. Poured a clear, bright urine yellow with a decent cap of white head and some lacing. Nose was of a lot of corn... of the syrup and husk varieties... with sweet pale malts. Not really offensive, but not good. Corn syrup, sweet pale malts, and tingly alcohol provide the front of the flavor... on the back, unpleasant veggies and alcohol remain for a long and ugly finish. Carbonation was too high... light-bodied with alcohol highlights around the tongue. No good. CanadaCam (109), Canada

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 5/5 | 10/20 | May 29, 2006 Bought this as Carling Black Label, no trace of "O’Keefe" on the can, nevertheless I can only assume it’s the same thing. Didn’t smell like anything, to me, which is probably good judging by what else I could gather from it. Very pale, foams up a lot if you don’t crack it with caution. Tasted dull and metallic, nothing exciting at all but nothing offensive either; no character. If I didn’t have the sense of taste I would swear I was drinking a can of water, as it’s actually very smooth and easy to drink, though I suspect that’s because it’s lacking in almost everything you should find in a beer. I suppose my rating is pretty generous, but I’m keeping in mind that this would actually be a pretty solid brew to take camping or to show up to a buddy’s house party with. It’s cheap and it gets the job done. DuffMan (2767), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 29, 2006 Wow, they still make this stuff! I drank this in university 17 years ago because it was cheap. I managed to get a single bottle from the liquor store in the "damaged goods" bin. Deep gold, thin head, sweet corn syrup-like aroma. Really only sweet malt as a flavour. As I remembered, nothing noteworthy. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 2, 2005 Aroma offers notes of corn and fruit. Clear golden colour with lasting white head. Fruity flavour is quite sweet but not offensive. Light body with moderate carbonation. Bottle. Entered from notes. Sampled back when this was being marketed briefly as EOS.

| 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Aug 23, 2005 Having recently replaced the historic O’Keefe label with the house budget ubiquibrand Carling Black Label, Molson has given this beer a ridiculous, cumbersome, six word name. And yet, it will always be O’Keefe Extra Old Stock to pretty much any beer drinker in BC.
But marketing buffoonery aside, the beer itself is a greenish-golden lager with a creamed corn and acetaldehyde aroma. The flavour is similarly objectionable - creamed corn again punctuated by light ethanol notes, and dulled by a cloying sweetness that kicks in about halfway through. Sadly, where I want fusels I don’t get any, and there is no sewage or garbage to be found. Plus, just when I’m looking for more, I find I’ve already had 12 ounces and the can is empty, some 28 ounces shy of the appropriate serving size for such a beverage. From top to bottom, there’s just not much going right with this beer. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada

Thin metalic flavour with some bittering hops. When I drank this as a teenager I thought it was gross and little has changed.
