A real fine head, medium size, lasting and soft. Dark reddish colour. Aroma and flavor is too mild and a bit bad.

Ah College days! Days of waking up at 2pm with a Carling-induced bender. Carling was about the cheapest thing we could get, $7 or so for 24, but god was it wonderful. Decent head for a macrolager, but nose of gasoline. Slightly sweet, but not in a good way. I love you Black Label!

355 ml can, 5% abv. Dull pale gold colour with a thick and mostly lasting frothy white head. Straight fusels in the nose. Grainy flavour surrounded by a dusty and muted sourness. Light bodied and fizzy. Calling this cheap swill would be a compliment.

Ahhh. Carling. The appealing can, the hiss of anticipation as you open it. Unfortunately, as a student, our university version of this redoubtable drink tends to be very much watered down. It is very sweet, but often to the point of being sickly. I often wonder if it gets brewed at all...

My first beer in England, it was cheap at the bar we were at so I had to get it, not too bad, we enjoyed this for awhile, had some many many drunken nights with Carling

Didn’t rate this before because I’d forgotten it. Up, it’s terrible and unremarkable. Bad bitter taste for a laRger. Genuinely avoid this, even if it claims (perhaps rightfully) to be THE macro lager in all of England.

Mild corn in the grainy aroma. Clear golden coloured body is topped by a generous and lasting, fine-bubbled, bright, white head. Mildly sweet with some graininess and a touch of creamed corn with very gentle finishing bitterness. Crisp carbonation and light body that is somewhat watery. Lager glass, fridge temp. Bottle (Metro Joanette, Apr. 2005)

a friend often refered to this beer as "motel beer" as in motel 6. It really wasnt that bas for beers in its price range. Really corn like matls, gasy though. not much hops. a typical pale lager.
