Kind of tastes like Pabst Blue Ribbon, but a bit worse. Not much to say.. sub par lager. BeerBelcher (943), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Aug 25, 2007 I had a really tough time getting past the smell of this beer. It is just unpleasantly cereal-y and reminds me of everything I don’t like about bad beer. Combine that with a rather unimpressive appearance and a light yet unpleasant cereal flavor, and you have yourself a real winner here...I’d rather have a Miller Lite any day. tarjei (1753), Bryne, Norway

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Black Label does hold nostalgia for me, but that version of Black Label was brewed in LaCrosse, Wisconsin by G. Heilman in the early 90’s. Since then I haven’t had a Black Label in 12+ years. However, I do find the Black Label story fascinating, how a budget bastard stepchild beer here in the States with no advertising can be so damn sucessful as ’Carling’ in the UK. I purchased a 12-pack for a little over six bucks and got to know Black Label all over again. Consumed over a month I can remember why I enjoyed Black Label. The beer has no real flavor, easy to drink, and lower in alcohol. I can see why this yellow lager is so popular in the UK. I’d buy it again for tailgating. Best combo I had was Black Label & blueberries while watching ’Borat’ Crit (2407), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 7, 2007 This is a very good beer. It pours a clear golden yello colour into the glass with very little head. The aroma has a malty, earthy aroma...nothing spectacular. The mouthfeel is silky smooth and crisp with some mild carbonation that grabs the tongue in all the right places. The taste is that of a full bodied beer with a malty grainy flavour that lasts through the entire glass. Like the majority of macro lagers in North America, this beer is best enjoyed cold. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Bottle purchased in Cork City, IRE. Pale body, white head. Aroma is bland, light pale malt, faint hops. Taste is bland, but not skunky, decent malt content, good for a pale lager.
