Pours clear red amber with a thin, but creamy head. Aroma is slightly metallic but has plenty of caramel. Very full mouthfeel - feels much thicker than it looks. It is quite sweet with some peppery flavours. Also some caramel.

Very nice red colour with a head that has a unusually good durability, especially for a Carlsberg. The aroma is really good too; with both strawberries, redcurrant, raspberries, and caramel. The flavor was even better than I remembered from last year, and phenominal for a vienna. It has very obvious caramel and coffee, but the berries from the aroma is a little subdued. Nice hopped aftertaste, with only a little alcohol. Great palate, dry, and very sturdy body. This 47 is together with the Porter Imperial Stout, Carlsberg’s best products. Better than the false "craft" brews Semper Ardens and Jacobsen. I wish all Carlsberg beers were as good as this one. It would really be miserable if Carlsberg decided to retire this beer too (like their Påske Øl), as the rumours has had it the last couple of years.

Orange amber color. Pours with obvious body, compact slight head. Slight skunk and caramel malt aroma. Strong malt aroma, with plenty of alcohol coming off it. Sweet caramel tasting, alcohol apparent.

Golden amber colour. Clear medium yellow body. Sweet almost harsh malty aroma. Strong flavour of alc. and molasses. Far from a Christmas brew!
