| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2006 Very nice red colour with a head that has a unusually good durability, especially for a Carlsberg. The aroma is really good too; with both strawberries, redcurrant, raspberries, and caramel. The flavor was even better than I remembered from last year, and phenominal for a vienna. It has very obvious caramel and coffee, but the berries from the aroma is a little subdued. Nice hopped aftertaste, with only a little alcohol. Great palate, dry, and very sturdy body. This 47 is together with the Porter Imperial Stout, Carlsberg’s best products. Better than the false "craft" brews Semper Ardens and Jacobsen. I wish all Carlsberg beers were as good as this one. It would really be miserable if Carlsberg decided to retire this beer too (like their Påske Øl), as the rumours has had it the last couple of years. Stefano (1349), Esbjerg, Denmark
