Bottled at Ølfestival, Århus, 2008 under the name of Avartia Porter - now this is confusing, is it the same beer or not? if so then this rating is of a 1 year old Avartia Stout: A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of very hard roasted malt as well as coffee, leading to a dry roasted finish. [8/4/8/4/17] Papsoe (14997), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Aroma is dark roasted malt and coffee. No citric notes. Flavour is really dark coffee, neither bitter nor hoppy at first.
