Feb 27, 2008 Pours amber with short white head. This is like a topfermented lager but it works for me. Easy to drink and very refreshing.

Jan 30, 2008 Amber, short off-white head. Malty aroma with faint notes of thyme. Faintly metallic too. Wheaty, breadlike notes? Thin flavour with more malty sweetness. Neither bad nor impressive.

Nov 14, 2007 Tasted 2007-11-14. Fresh bottle, 33cl. Pours clear amber with beige head. Aroma of malts and more malts. Sweet flavour loaded with all sorts of metal. Not my glass of beer. On the label it says that this is the beer to drink when you have something to celebrate. Oh well! "Honey! I lost my foot to frostbite today!" "-OK let’s celebrate with a Carls Ale!" "No thanks honey, I didn’t lose my taste buds!" Oh and it’s weak too! Kidding aside, this is definately drinkable, but it’s not anywhere near being anything special.
