Carlsberg Carls Dark

Aarhus, DK. Bottled. High carbonation and dominated by caramel - with the characteristic stinging palate from added sugars

Brown colour with small head. Caramel in nose. Bread, malt and some bitterness in taste. Could be worse.

Muddy brown color with a small, creamy head. Sweet, earthy aroma with a hint of lemon. Earthy, musty caramel malt flavor with a slight tingle to the finish. Light to medium bodied with a short, bitter finish. Basically a below average beer.

33 cl bottle. Amber/brown color. Beige, disappering head. Caramell and hints of fruit. Ok bitterness.

Canned (Thanks faroeviking!). Amber colour, small head. Aroma is caramel, metal and some slight notes of earth and mash. Flavour is the same in a rather bad balance. Some sweet malty hints along with bitterness in aftertaste.

Dark amber color, no head. Sweet lemon candy, caramel and brewing mash in the nose. Bready, a bit toasted and caramelly flavor. Bitterish aftertaste.

Bottle from MiP. Soft coffeearoma. Malty sweet caramelly flavor with hints of licorice in the aftertaste. Hints of apple. Medium bodied. Decent brew.

33 cL bottle. Pours amber/brown with a small lacing head. Medium dry/sweet malt aroma, slight roasted. Caramel/chocolate malt flavour, subdued sweetness and a mild bitterness accompanying the malt flavours into the finish. Nice malty/bitterness, but I personally had this last compared to Pivo, Capo and Hvede (personal no 1), but I guess my palate has matured.
