An excellent alternative to Porters and Stouts. Heavier than most, lots of taste.

Dark ruby color, small off white head that lasted for a nice amount of time then faded to leave a decent lace behind. The aroma was Malty, caramel and maybe some kind of dried fruit with a decent sweet side to it.Malty caramel taste with a good sweet side and maybe some fruit again, possible raisin.maybe some faint chocolate as well but then i might be pushing it on that one.Over all it's a pretty decent AD much better then some of the American versions i've tryed to date. Thanks go to Love_caissa for sending this nice brew my way.Well worth trying again.

Below a fairly transient, Horlicks-coloured head, the beverage is chestnut with flashes of scarlet. Sweet aromas of plain chocolate, coffee and rum liqueur lift out of the glass, tempting you to take a swig. Satisfyingly full-flavoured, there’s elements of chocolate and salt on the palate, with a nice balance between sweet and bitter. This is a well-rounded beer – you would be equally satisfied drinking a bunch or slowly savouring one, depending on your mood. This Carlsberg’s a keeper.

Beautiful, dark colour and halfway sweet taste. It smells fabulous, but cant quite make it there in taste. A popular beer for inviting your (beer-) friends over.

Dark ruby color. Medium size off-white, lasting head. Little nice malty aroma. The flavour is malty and fruity. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. All in all a drinkable lager.

A strong taste of liquorice and caramel at the same time. An above average beer - probably one you learn to like more and more after each one you have

Bottled. Light dusty aroma, chocolate and a hint of cola. Dark brown color, fine beige head, good lace. Sweet, burnt caramel, hint of chocolate, sugary, flat and clean.
