| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | May 1, 2007 Dark amber, moderate head. The aroma is malty with notes of caramel. I find the same in the flavour, that has a light bitterness. A bit too malty in a monotonous way, lacks complexity. EHSRanders (1120), Randers C, Denmark

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 26, 2006 Bottle. Brown clear coloured with a medium white head. Mostly diminishing and fair lacing. Predominant malty in aroma but some balanced hoppyness can also be detected. Light notes of Christmas spice can be noticed. Light to medium bodied with a balanced bitter-sweet initial flavour. Slight sweet finish, that turned into a slightly metallic finish as the beer got warmer. Compared to the other Carl’s that I have tasted, this is a average beer.
