Commercial Description:
Carls Lager has a clear red-golden colour, and is brewed with münchenermalt by bayerish tradition since 1847. Münchenermalt is roasted by higher temperature, which gives it a darker colour than regular malt. Carls Lager’s aroma indicates fine fruity and caramellish notes. In the mouth it is characterized by having a good body and low carbonation, which underlines the soft impression of the taste.

330ml bottle. Dark beer. Non-white head. Sweet, malty. This should be a Münchener Dunkel, but it’s not a good one.

Clear deep amber with medium beige head. Sweet malty aroma caramel notes. Sourish flavour with toasted malt and hints of caramel. I knew they infected beer.

330ml bottle.
Deep red, small tight head. Sweet malty aroma, a touch corny, but fairly big. Lively carbonation, but a bit watery too. Slightly metallic palate. Nasty and astringent components too, and metallic hops. Not pleasant. some vegetal nature as it warms, and a bit sickly and sour at the corners.
