Commercial Description:
Carls Lager has a clear red-golden colour, and is brewed with münchenermalt by bayerish tradition since 1847. Münchenermalt is roasted by higher temperature, which gives it a darker colour than regular malt. Carls Lager’s aroma indicates fine fruity and caramellish notes. In the mouth it is characterized by having a good body and low carbonation, which underlines the soft impression of the taste.

Bottled. Dark amber with a brief, off-white head. Aroma from some dark sugar. Really bland and flat flavour. Some light caramelle, but nothing else.

Meh. If only Carlsberg brewed beers half as good as the marketing blurbs says they are, they would be drinkable. At least, this is not outright offensive.

Darm amber colored, medium sized yellow head. Aroma is fruity and somehow estery with slight caramel. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also nice with some toffee and chocolate, some fruity esters also there. Aftertaste is mild and short, slight vegetebles there.

Nice head, reddish mahogany. The aroma is malty, slightly hopped. The flavour has notes of malt, hops and a bit of caramel and a short and moderately bitter finish.
