Black with very little browny white head. (quickly disappearing) Aroma and taste of roasted malts - liqourice and chocolate. The porters texture is very thin. The finish is OK but not long lasting. Some bitterneess and a bit of smoke!

Pure black with a thick, beige, creamy head. Aroma from coffee and liquorice with some notes of almond and chocolate. Roasted malt in flavour mostly, but some hints of wood. Caramelly and somewhat thick mouthfeel. Quite bitter in finish. Slight alcoholic.

Courtesy of Papsoe<!-- P --> Aroma is somewhat smoky and dry. Lots of roasted malt. Body is a deep black and he head is nearly three fingers thick, mocha colored and lasting. Lots of dark sweet malts. Big licorice notes, mild smoky flavors., stewed prunes and raisins. Head is amazingly resilient and has stayed tight and firm through most of the beer. Nothing macro or adjunct tasting about this. Very solid.

On tap. Dark brown in colour with medium head. It was served so cold that I almost couldn’t hold the glass :-) So I might haver to rerate at some point. Very mild and kinda sterile.

Bott/Papsoe. Black w/ beige lacy root beer float head. Huce cholaty spiced rum aroma. Smooth beautiful dark chocolate flavor with a touch of tingly hops. Delightful first sips. Creamy smooth palate. As it either warms or is paired with salty vegetable dish, a more fuelish flavor emerges and diminishes the beer a bit.

Bottle @ Danish Open Championship in Pipesmoking, Copenhagen
Dark brown with plenty of off white head. Slightly dusty aroma like a lager beer. Very sweet, almost artificial. Some roasted malts, maybe and a wee bit bitter in the end. Lacking in most for a "baltic porter". (Ended 22 of 123 in the competition, by the way :-)
