Bottle: Pours black/deep brown, with a reasonably sustaining tan head. Aroma brought out a scent I have never before experianced, black olives, salt, faint cocoa/coffee and woodsiness (might be making up words here). Flavor was mostly coffee, nice subtle bitterness in finish. Mouthfeel was smooth and velvety.

Bottle, in GB. Black with brown head, large size, good lacings. Aroma of roated/burnt malt (münchner, chocolate) and licorice. Flavor bitter of malt, no taste of hops. Medium to full body, oily, soft carbonated. The alcohol is felt.

Bottle. Pitch black colour with a nice off-white/brownish head. Aroma is sweetish with notes of coffee and a fruity detail I can’t seem to place. Flavour is equally sweetish with coffe notes and also has the same ’unplaceable’ fruitness as is found in the aroma. Faint metallic notes. Could do with a bit more bitterness.

Bottled. At the start cooked vegetable but that disappears soon and in comes the coffee and maybe a little smoke. Black, light brown, fair lace. Sweet, bitter, coffee, very roasted bitter finish, quite full. Very nice but the bitterness is a bit out of balance with the sweetness. Thanks Dalle!

Bottled. Black colour with a reddish tinge. Small, off-white, quickly diminishing head. Coffee and caramel aroma with notes of butterscotch. Tastes coffeish, chocolatey and caramelly. Quite bitter. Bitter and chocolatey in the finish. Mediumbodied, slightly creamy texture. This is surely a nice porter, but not overly complex and a tad to bitter for my liking. Still, very enjoyable. Thanks to joss for this one.

Thanks go out to Madsberg for sending this one! This one is sitting here in front of me just as black as night and the huge tan head is slowly filling with holes, yet it refuses to die into the body of the beer. Big spider webs appear on the sides of the glass where the stickyness remains. It’s still quite cold, but already there is a nice chocolate and coffee aroma building from the meringue-like head. This beer has lots of body so you can work it slowly in your mouth. Very soft first impression, full and rich. Well balanced, not too sweet, not too bitter, but lots of smooth cocoa and coffee flavors with a long finish. You can take some time before you need to sip again with this. Nice indeed.
