Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, and roast. Taste is full of dark fruits, vanilla, chocolate, and a strong, bitter roastiness. Very creamy mouthfeel and light alcohol noticed. A nice Baltic Porter, thanks Mads! Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 6, 2004 Dark brown almost black. Creamy tannish head with quite a bit of lace. Aromas of roast and coffee. Molasses and soy milk. Bitter hops and chocolate. Flavor is a bit mild. There is hints of smoke with the roast and chocolate malts. Peppery hops along with bitter. Thin bodied, tangy palate. Finishes with a touch of alcohol and roast malts. BückDich (4854), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2004 Dark brown/black color with very light head and minimal lacing. The aroma is toasty with molasses and roasted toffee, babyfood almost. The flavor is burnt with smoke and chocolate. Finishes thin and fruity with more chocolate. Fairly tasty baltic porter but doesn’t have enough substance and complexity to bring it above the best and has a bit much astringency and dark roast for me. veronika (410), Sweden

It´s is rated low by me ´cause it taste only of one single thing; what we call "english licorice" and that´s all. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

Pitck black, nice brown head. Still bringing a lovely salty and malty aroma, tar and licorice. Salty licorice and tar flavor, quite a clear bitterness after a while. Salty, bitter finish.
OLD RATING: (7/4/7/4/15=3,7) Black. brownish head. Aroma from coffe, cocoa and licorice with clear notes from malt and milk chocolate. Flavor malty with mil chocolate and licorice, and turns into a late bitterness. Ingevara (527), Hindås, Sweden

A rich fullbodied flavor with loads of chocolate and roasted malt, a hint of coffee and a refreshing bitterness, better than for mosts porters. The sugar is there, but not much more. I lke this one!
