As black as can be, medium sized beige head. Smoke dominates aroma with roastiness, chocolate and licorice, mild alcohol also can be found. Very complex aroma indeed. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is even more smoky, reminds me little bit of Schlenkerla brews... Roastiness also there, chocolate slightly in still drying aftertaste. Fine brew, I like this complex smoke here.

Bottle, 33 cl, bought at a gas station on the island Falster, Denmark.. Dark reddish brown, almost opaque, with a small but long beige head. Roasted, slightly salty malt aroma, with dark chocolate. Medium bodied, more CO2 than other baltic porters I´ve had. Bitter finish.

330 ml bottle. Two finger fluffy light brown head, mostly dimininshing. Opaque dark brown body. Bitter chocolate, licorice and sharp and edgy hops in the aroma. Roasted/burnt dark malts in the flavor. Notes of dark coffee-beans, tar and salty licorice. Good body. Oily mouthfeel with a noteable alcohol heath. Raw bitterness in the finish. Solid.

Flaske.

Nice, creamy head and an almost black color. The mouthfeel is smooth, and a bit oily. The first impressions are notes of chocolate, coffee and sweet licorice, but in the middle of the flavour there is a short "empty space", where nothing really happens. But then the finish comes, and it has a nice bitterness and notes of chocolate and licorice and a bit of alcohol. I by far prefer a Limfjords Porter or a royal Stout, both found to the same price here in Denmark.

Deep brown/burgundy pour, orange/brown head, well retained. Aroma is sweet and roasted malts with copious dark fruits like raisins, plums and blackberries. Alcohol is entirely too noticeable. Subtle notes of smokiness and bitter, stale coffee also detected. Flavor is moderately sweet, with additions of nutty malts and more roastiness and bitterness. Incredibly full bodied palate is warming and decadent, moderately bitter. Finishes with medium bitterness and ample roast, lingering for a short while. Very good but too much sweetness without complimentary roastiness in the aroma and finish, in addition to limited complexity, stump this beers range. Good balance of tastes and bitterness in mid-mouthfeel and bitterness in finish.
