Bottle. Very dark with soft red edges. Head is light brown, a tad foamy and creamy. Aroma is sweet, mostly rosted malts, some chocolate and a whiff of smokyness. Very oily feel, wonderful. Flavour is dominated by roasted malts, some coffee and dark chocolate.

Pours dark brown, with a a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and smoke. Flavor is raosted malt, chocolate, smoke, and coffee. Body is a little thin. Better than expected. Thanks to kramer17801 for this bottle.

Dark brown pour, thick creamy tan initial head. Off-seeming aroma. Thin, Guinness-like powdery chocolate and slight roasted lactic malt aroma. Flavor picks up a little bit; foreign stout-like to me. Thick, roasty chocolate malt, lactic bitter roasted backing, and a slight "off" bitterness that brings me into my "foreign stout" thoughts. Pretty good overall, a little cloying and 1-D though

Bottle acquired as part of the Mystery Beer Swap v2 from kramer17801 (thanks!). Bottle labeled 22.05.07 (I’m assuming this is a best before date). Poured a dark, dark brown with a red tint and a larger sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, smoke and tobacco. Tastes of smoke, roast, very light chocolate, and a trace of dark fruits (but I’m reaching there). Lots of smoke and tobacco all the way around.

I was quite disappointed with this one. Bottle from MiP. Very dark brown color. Roasted malt, dried fruit, tobacco and maggi both in aroma and flavor. Malty sweetish, but also quite salty. What a strange brew. Would be quite nice as a flavor enhancer in soup.

Bottle. Black with decent light brown head. Aroma offers burnt malt, smoke, a little note of liqurice and caramel. The taste rahter one-dimensional with tar and hops. Pretty long finish with an and-note of english liqurice.

[Tasted april 2005.] A very good danish porter, which too many danes dilute with lemon soda. A better one than Mors Stout, all though it’s a sweet stout, but has similar tastenotes. Fullbodied and in balance!
