Carlsberg Carls Special

(Draugh at a random pub at CPH Airport) Dark brown and clear. Medium sized white head. Sweet, roasty and metallic aroma. Dryish and light bodied palate with medium carbonation. Malts, bitterness, lightly sweetness and hint of roastedness in harsh taste. Bitter aftertaste.

Draught in a pub in Copenhagen. Clear amber body with a small, frothy, white head, mostly diminishing. Moderate maltyy aroma with some light roasted and caramel note. Moderate-to-heavy sweet flavour but a moderate bitter note is also present. Light-to-medium body with a watery texture; almost flat carbonation. Quite a nice beer.

Can. Pours amber with a fast diminishing big frothy off-white head. Malty nose.Taste is roasted malt, not much bitterness here.

Okay beer, not very impressive after my oppinion. But i think it is just not my taste of beer.

Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, small and persistent white foamy layer; light to moderate nutty-fruity nose with a very faint metallic tinge; light dryish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; short, pretty light malty-bitter finish. Clean and boring......

500ml bottle at a restaurant in Copenhagen airport, 20th May 09. Mid brown with a small magnolia head. Grotty lager nose. Artificially smooth palate. Bready and watery. Seems to sit between being a lager and being an ale.

33 cl bottle poured to glass. Amber colour with a white head. Maybe one of the better Carlsberg beers.

Draught (500 ml) at O’Learys, Kastrup, Denmark. Dark brownish copper colour. Weak sweet, malty and roasted aroma. Flavour is sweetish cola-like with some metallic taste.
