Poured dark red color with a prominent off white head that lingers, quite decent lace. Malty aroma with alcohol notes. Taste is very smooth with lots of slightly sweet malt flavor, caramel, and mild bitter hops, strong alcohol taste in the otherwise clean finish..

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Bottle. Pours a nice red-brownish colou with an average lasting head. Nice aroma of hops and toasted malt with caramel, which is even more profound in the flavour along with a nice soft fruitiness. Good mouthfeel. The aftertaste is long lasting and just so pleasant. Brewed in Canada on licence by permission from Carlsberg. Great amber beer. Why is this tasty beer not brewed in Denmark? sinkhole (178), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 12, 2007 Draught. Poured red/brown with average head. Some nutty aromas, with a subtle hop flavouring that is overpowered by the overall sweetness of the beer. Minimal bitter aftertaste. Okay for a macro red. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
