Commercial Description:
Pasteurised strong lager.
First brewed in 1959. Sold in a 330ml bottle in 1989 as "the beer you will never forget". In May 1996 Elephant Beer was repackaged into an emerald green 275ml bottle.
UK version is brewed at the Carlsberg Northampton brewery.
Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

Bottle. High alcohol content. Not that good, just like any other cheap malt liquor.

Had a sort of grain taste to it, slight skunky aroma and taste. At least it seemed pretty smooth. Reminds me of something you’d get in a 40oz, but this was a bit better.

Pours yellow-orange with good lacing. Aroma and taste were both skunky. Not a good beer overall.

What a waste of a six pack. You can definitely tell that there is 7.2% alcohol. Overpowers the beer and makes it hard to get through even one bottle.

Pours a golden yellow with white head. Strong aroma of alcohol, grains and hops. Flavor follows aroma. Bitter hop finish. Disappointing.

Bottle Pours a clear red amber with a fizzy white head. Has a strong alcohol and grain aroma. Has a decent carbonation. Taste is rather strong , lacks chracter to hide alcohol. A little hoppy but not good hoppy. A decent bitter finish. Okay but not super.

It was damn hard to make it through a can of this beer. Strong tinny corny metallic flavors. Very grainey and malty, and very cheaply made, some sweet moonshine like fruitiness, like malt liquor.
