Commercial Description:
Pasteurised strong lager.
First brewed in 1959. Sold in a 330ml bottle in 1989 as "the beer you will never forget". In May 1996 Elephant Beer was repackaged into an emerald green 275ml bottle.
UK version is brewed at the Carlsberg Northampton brewery.
Carlsberg Elephant Beer is an amber-coloured beer with big intensity in its aroma, and with a distinct maltyness. There is notes of honey in the aroma. The palate of Carlsberg Elephant shows a good balance between a good body from the alcohol, and a discrete sweetness which is tamed by the sophisticated bitterness of the aftertaste.

From a slender, shaped 11.2 oz. green bottle with a coded "Best Before’ date on the back label. After reading some other reviews, I looked for anything that stated brewed in Canada, but didn’t find it. Made an average appearance, poured a clear orange hued golden with a fizzy, bubbly white head. Had a funky, grassy, grainy aroma with some whiffs of sweet alcohol. Moderate carbonation and a smooth, alcoholic light-ish medium bodied mouth feel, below average drinkability. Had a grainy sweet alcohol taste, a slight hop bitterness and a dry grainy alcoholic finish with a lingering alcohol burn in the palate.

Bottle. Weak bready aroma. Golden colour. Big stable creamy white head. Quite sweet and peppery flavour. Aftertaste has a hint of vegetable.

CAN!! Which might be why I am rating this so low. This really tasted like I was sucking down some sort of alcohol laiden aluminum. Rough.

A golden coloured beer with a alcoholic aroma and a malty taste. Disgusting beer. (Bottle 33cl)

Golden and flat-bodied under a fluffy white head. A green bottle contributes to the skunk that you expect. Otherwise grainy & sweet with alcohol... but not enough to make it the least bit worthwhile. Rather awful with a sour/metallic finish.

Bottle. Gold color with little head. Hard to determine the different tastes although the aftertaste is very alcoholic. To sterile.
