As major beers go, I enjoy this one, although its nothing to write home about on the gourmet front. Pale clear colour, with a quickly disappearing bubble head. A rather weak palate, but enjoyably crisp. As others have mentioned, some malty tones, but bitter on the aftertaste. KingofCastle (202), London, Ontario, Canada

Little on thin side & hops not quite there to give little crispness, but this is not undrinkable by any means. Thin to moderate mouthfeel & body, and finish lacks. There are far tastier pale lagers out there, but there are also many worse, so these reviews are kind of harsh. agl108 (509), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA

Typically poopy ass lager. Very thin with no body. How is a beer this bad so popular in Europe? Hmm...marketing? tarjei (1756), Bryne, Norway

This brewery uses a lot of money in advertising and commercials in TV, telling the same story: "You need to drink this, if you are a man and part of the game". The problem with this "best beer" being they only sell WHEN the beers on sale very cheap in the supermarkets. Here in Denmark the same brew being sold as Dansk Pilsner (very low price) and earlier as Pokal Pilsner. Carlsberg - Probably a part of the game, at cheating customers. Carlsberg also uses unfair methods to keep imported beers away from bars, pubs, restaurants and the consumer. By its ownership in the danish bottle refund system and its clean marketing and long term contracts.
Must i say, I never buy Carlsberg products and never drinks them, unless its served for free.. JesseM (677), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Sure it’s a macro, and Carlsberg makes a lot of other higher end stuff, but when compared to other generic beers this one is really good. I had it right after a bottle of American Budweiser, so maybe I was prone to love whatever I had next to compare to the worst beer in North America, but I genuinely loved the slightly fruity taste. Minor skunk but nothing terrible, decent grainy malt body. Great finish and aftertaste. Very drinkable. Edit: I don’t adore this beer anymore quite like I did when I was 17 but this is actually something I can enjoy when nothing better is available. One of the more tolerable macro’s out there by my tastes. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden

Can (hof, 4.2%). Golden colour with a white head. I guess this is all-malt but it still smells of corn. Malty, Carlsberg-sweaty flavour.
