Commercial Description:
Bottle and keg; Filtered.
Carlsberg Light replaced Carlsberg Let in January 2003.
Carlsberg Light is a light golden beer. The aroma is fresh and malty. The beer has a discreet sourness, a low alcohol content and a fine slim body. Carlsberg Light has lots of Pilsener flavour, but less alcohol. That makes Carlsberg Light the ideal lunch beer.

A light yellow beer with no head. The aroma is the nose - I think it is the hops used - have tried it in other low alcohol beers. The flavor is primarily hoppy with a little sweetness - as many low alcohol beers. But the palate is very good for a low alcohol beer. If You blind taste this one I think it can fool You for a standard Danish pilsener.

A very light yellow beer with no head. It has a nice hoppy aroma. The flavor is that of hops - probably dry hops as to make the light beer taste of something. Not a beer I can recomend - but then I’m not into light beers so I’m comparing it with normal stregth beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) Neatly fully golden with a fairly decent head. Starts with some malty flavours, but completely lacks body and aftertaste - as would be expected. 161203

(Bottle 33 cl) Pilsener golden with a decent head. Surprisingly fine hoppy aroma and flavour. Naturally not much body. Nice alternative to a pilsener. 051003

33 cL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Dry corn, hay and dusty aroma. Slight bitter flavour and vague malt presence. Watery finish with a minor fruity whiff. Bland.

Bottle 33cl. @ home.
Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, grain, toasted, light hoppy notes. Flavor is light moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (160808)

Bottle at home. Clear yellow coloured with a medium sized white head. Aroma of malts, grain, hay and metal with notes of hops. Flavour of malts, metal and hops, but not much flavour. Watery. OK for a low alcohol.

Blond color. Light corn-paper aroma. Really thin, with a quite strong ending bitterness, but a too evident alcohol touch.

Clear golden with medium off white head. Sweet and somewhat malty aroma and grainy aroma. Sweet flavour with hints of malt and cardboard. Could have been worse...

Light golden with an OK head. The aroma is slightly hoppy, malty with notes of onion. These are the notes I find in the flavour too, and it’s neither offending nor a pleasure. I gave up though, I had enough of the onions...
