Bottle. 1964 vintage. Pours orange with a thin, off-white film head. Aroma is heavily oxidized, good caramel and a finr, light spiciness. Low carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, good toffee, caramel and oxidized notes. Lightly vinious as well. Past its prime, but still interesting.

33 cL bottle, vintage from 1964 tasted in the Carlsberg cellar (1964 by all means most have been a great year...). Pours deep amber with a slight brown tone and a little off-white head. Aroma is winous and solid malty. Flavour is sweet fruity, heavy caramel malt and a with distinct metallic note towards the finish. Has a nice soft malty flavour far into the finish. Smooth.

Bottle @ Jacobsen Brewhouse. This was a vintage 1964 from the cellar of Carlsberg. Amazingly enough there was a fizzy sound when the bottle was opened. Small frothy white head that mostly diminished. Some strange stuff around the opening of the bottle. Maybe yeast who knows what it was after all the years in Carlsberg cellar. Aroma of light bread and nutty notes, hint of caramel. Still very malty overall impression with a hint of alcohol and light vinous texture. Not bad at all. Maybe over the palate a slight feel of mould could be detected, but after 47 years what can you expect. Very smooth and medium bodied with a somewhat flat carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour, with light alcoholic bitterness still left in the there. Sweet and light warming finish. Quit amazing experience!

Bottle, Brownish-golden colour. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops. Flavour is sweet and malty, hoppy, caramellic, some alcohol. A strong and quite tasty Easter brew. 6/3/7/3/12 = 3.1. Also tasted a 1964 celler stored version @ the Carlsberg Brewery in Valby: Deep amber colour, rather short white head. Sweet mild liquoure malty aroma. Good mouthfeel. Sweet malty dark fruity bit liquore flavour. Wow, darn good for a 44 year old beer. Though I liked the 1955 porter a lot beer, which was served after this.
