[Vintage 1962 bottle - tasted in the cellar of Carlsberg] The color is nut brown and it has an orange head. The aroma is of oranges and alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with notes of oranges and chocolate combined with alcohol running over the tongue. A fantastic experience - it has really kept well 42 years old!

(Bottle 33 cl) I believe the Carlsberg Easter brew was also the first Danish of it’s kind - inspired by the original "Paulaner Salvator". Very dark golden (unfortunately partly from added coulourants) with lots of caramel malt in both aroma and flavour. Very full-bodied with a good hoppy finish for balance. Delicious beer. 270300

33 cL bottle, vintage from 1964 tasted in the Carlsberg cellar (1964 by all means most have been a great year...). Pours deep amber with a slight brown tone and a little off-white head. Aroma is winous and solid malty. Flavour is sweet fruity, heavy caramel malt and a with distinct metallic note towards the finish. Has a nice soft malty flavour far into the finish. Smooth.

Bottle. BB September 1995. Very oxidized aroma, not to my liking. Deep chestnut brown colour. Peppery flavour, some malt. Good body. Taste is also quite oxidized, but not too bad after 10 years. Probably very nice when fresh.

Bottle, Brownish-golden colour. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops. Flavour is sweet and malty, hoppy, caramellic, some alcohol. A strong and quite tasty Easter brew. 6/3/7/3/12 = 3.1. Also tasted a 1964 celler stored version @ the Carlsberg Brewery in Valby: Deep amber colour, rather short white head. Sweet mild liquoure malty aroma. Good mouthfeel. Sweet malty dark fruity bit liquore flavour. Wow, darn good for a 44 year old beer. Though I liked the 1955 porter a lot beer, which was served after this.

Bottle, Vintage, thanx to Jørgen. Red brown colour with a small tan head. Caramel malty light tar, dark fruits aroma and a sweet caramel malty, dark fruits, light alcoholic, old taste. Medium body and a sweet light alcoholic finish.

Bottle. 1964 vintage. Pours orange with a thin, off-white film head. Aroma is heavily oxidized, good caramel and a finr, light spiciness. Low carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, good toffee, caramel and oxidized notes. Lightly vinious as well. Past its prime, but still interesting.
