| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2005 Bottle - trade with chris_o. A mahogany coloured beer with no head to speak of. The aroma is fruity with banana notes together with a little toffee and some alcohol. The taste is quite authentic Dubbel but rather thin in the body. Good fruit and malt notes and nice alcohol levels. Enjoyable but not a World beater. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 16, 2005 I was hoping for better things from this famous brewery. The smell is somewhat artificial, with pineapple, caramel, yeast, and some very evident metallic associations. The taste was a bitter and uncomplicated, overly simple impression. Refreshing, but not very rewarding in terms of flavor or mouthfeel. No evident alcohol in either the taste or the nose. Perhaps a bit too fizzy.
