Dark mahogany with a little head and small spots of lace. Aromas of banana, clove, sugar and alcohol. Some coriander with mild citrus and other fruits. Flavors show a big dose of coriander, bread, alcohol, bittering hops, caramel and roast. Thick and spicy that finishes out with bitter alcohol.

(700 ml bottle, bought in Denmark). Copper colour, slightly hazy, moderate head that doesn’t last very long. Lovely aroma of dark fruits and spices. Malty and slightly spicy flavour, could have been more complex but is still very good. Pleasant aftertaste. They have used Saazer hops for this beer, nothing wrong with that, but additional hop varieties would probably have brought the beer closer to "perfect". Still, quality is of course lightyears ahead of what most people know as "Carlsberg".

Hazy amber colour. Malty aroma. Good and fruity flavor.. Perfect in company with a good dinner. Carlsberg is burning again (semper ardens).

Pours a clear mahogany brown with a thin coating of creamy head. Rich bready Belgian yeasty aroma with a touch of dark candi sugar. Body starts with a touch of toffee sweetness finishing more dry and yeasty. Thin, but nicely flavored. Thanks madsberg!

Bottle, DBF 2004. Bronze, thin off white head and low condition. Big butterscotch and peardrop aromas, some sweet malt and lots more butterscotch in the mouth with a developing phenolic plastic note. Finish has lots of malt and peardrops with a tempering touch of bitterness developing late on.

[bottle] Poured a hazy burnt amber color with a thick white head. Very lively aroma of pepper and hops with a touch of citrus and resin of sorts. Sweet and hoppy taste with a touch of citrus at the end. Very smooth and easy to drink. Thanks again Dixen.
