Flavor is malty, fruity and alcoholic. Its rather sparkly. A decent beer, nice to see Carlsberg making other beers than fizzy yellow beer! MiP (9102), Sønderborg, Denmark

Hazy light brown. Lots of flavours in this rich, malty Abbey Dubbel: Dried fruits(apricot?), anise and maybe black currant. Full-bodied. PetetheMeat (549), Hove, Denmark

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 30, 2003 0.7 L bottle. The strong aroma was noticeable the moment the beer was poured and contained elements of malt and fruitiness, especially banana. The liquid itself was brown and hazy with a decent, tan head. Well-balanced taste with elements of sweet malt and banana, and a smooth, lasting bitter aftertaste. Also good balance in carbonation and alcohol. Really great beer and probably best of the Semper Ardens series. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
