660 ml bottle. Brown colour. Clear. Medium-sized off-white head. Caramelly aroma with a typical Belgian yeast profile. Aroma is quite sweet. Surprisingly light-bodied. Aroma is much better than the flavour, which is thin and watery and lacks complexity. Finish is much like a bland dunkel. Lager-like. No favourite.

Bottle 66cl. Semper Ardens are in my opinion the best Carlsberg has to offer and the abbey ale is one of the bests. Pours a dark amber brown with a off-white head that disappears rather quickly. The nose reminds me of classic belgian trappists.. in a light version. Theres is cloves, burneds malts and brown sugar. Some vanilla and wood chips and alot of yeast. The taste is sweet with sicky overtones. I taste spices and again vanilla, chocolate and raisins. The finish is pale and week and a little bitter. The mouthfeel is creamy and round.
