A brown beer with an OK head. It has the aroma of yeast with fruity notes. It has a fresh bitter taste of berries. An OK beer - but if I want a abbey style beer I’d rather have a Westvleteren, Rochefort or other original. And if I want one of Carlsbergs Semper Ardens beers this is my last choice.

(Bottle 70 cl) Bottle #3261. Hazy, dark coppery colour. Fruity, yeasty nose. Very full-bodied with all the obvious notes of roasted malt and caramel with an almost vinous edge. Gets better sip by sip as it slowly warms.

66/75 cL bottle. Pours brown/orange with a short lasting off-white head leaving a nice rim. Aroma is yeasty and alcohol. Yeast is both Carlsbergensis and something else. Taste is rather caramelly/malty and yeasty, some fruit notes too. Weak belgian - but a good beer afterall.

Bottle 2002. Dark brown, small white head which is gone quickly. First sweet and malty, then bitter and peppery. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, other than that nothing. Watery mouthfeel.

Bottled. Reddish brown colour with mediumsized foamy white head. Some slight lace. Aroma is fruity, wooden, a bit of raisins as well as some caramel malts. Flavour is caramel malts, some slight not-too-sweet-syrupy notes, mild nuttyness, wooden notes as well as some slight spicyness as well.

Brown colour with a small beige head. Fine aroma with lots of spíces and yeast. Sweet spicy flavor with an OK bitterness. Overcarbonated, but very drinkable.
