Clear orange coloured with a medium sized off white head.
Sweet aroma of caramel, malts and hay with notes of dried fruits.
Sweet flavour of caramel, malts, dried fruits and hops.
Hoppy finish.
It’s seems like the recipe is changed from the 1. to the 2. edition. As far as I remember the first edition, the rowan berries was very dominating.

Redbrown with a small head, fully diminishing, no lacings. Aroma moderate malty and hoppy (rowan berries, bog myrtle). Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body, oily, soft carbonated. Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 13, 2005 (Bottle 70 cl) Clear light brown with a reddish glow. Very small head that vanishes completely leaving no traces whatsoever. Extremely dry with a distinct bitterness. The added rowan berries and bog myrtle adds an unpleasant herbal, almost medicinal tang - a bit like cough syrup or the Danish bitter "Gammel Dansk". By far the poorest Semper Ardens, and a clear disappointment. 270902 Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark
