Bottle thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a nice, deep amber with red hues, beige head. Aroma of some spice, dark fruit. Flavor is sweet, some dark fruit, a little spicy, some candy sugar, some faint fruit. Mouth feel is full body with a low-medium carbonation. Over all, pretty good!

2004 bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Dark amber pour with a thin cream head. Nose of candied fruits and malts. Very nice on the palate with a heavy sugary fruit flavor. Clean malty finish.

After all it is christmas the day after the day after tomorrow. So if there should be a time to rate this one it would be today. This one is brewed and bought in 2007. Pours a deep and clear amber-brown with a huge fizzy off-white head that slowly fades out. First thing that hits the nose is trases off alcohol, thereafter vanilla caramel, dry berries, yeast, cinnamon and other species. The taste is sweet with clearly notes of alcohol and chocolate - I also taste burned malts, vanilla and something that tastes like metal. The finish is round and sweet with a picky or fizzy palate on the tounge. The Semper Ardens series from Carlsberg is the best comercial stuff coming from that brewery - but this one is not the best
