At May Ratebeer London Gathering at Chris O’s. Amber with a small off white head. Sweet alcoholic aroma. Rather fizzy. Thick, sweet, almost cloyingly sugary. But it would be very pleasant at Christmas.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with off-white head. Nose is very x-mas’sy, with lots of spices, caramel, and liquerice. Flavor is exceptional of liquerice and x-mas spices.

Aarhus, DK. Bottled. Complex spiciness. Cloves and orange. Malt bodied but with a alcohol/carbonation dry profile that suits x-mas food well.

2007 bottle from MiP, thanks! Dark brown color. Malty spicy aroma. Malty, caramelly sweet flavor with cardemom, anis and coreander. Spicy bitter aftertaste. Well balanced, warming beer.

Pours hazy dark amber with long lasting white head. In aroma lots of spices, dark fruit and dark malts. Superb creamy mouthfeel. Very xmas like taste with notes of coriander, clove and cinnamon. Great stuff.

2004 Bottle: Pours hazy muddy amber with a two finger off white head with nice lacing. Aroma, spices, some fruits, earthy, sweet malts, bready. Flavor, caramel, brown sugar, some spices, and dark fruits, some yeast. Sweet fruity finish, low carbonation. Pretty tasty.

Dark color, amber to mahogany, big head. The beer is based on caramel, smooth and quite sweet. Pleasant without being exciting.
