There is also some cinamon in it, and perhaps some nuts also some spicies I could not define. It’s beautiful red, just like a christmas ale should be. The flavor is full of prunes, caramel, and nuts. Of course it has a lot of figs too. yespr (12406), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2007 66 cL bottle (sampled each year since the first release in 75 cL bottles). Pours redish brown, clear, with a little creamy and slight orange head. Aroma is mildly spiced and holds a promise of sweet caramel malt. Flavour is caramel malt, only mildly sweet, a bit of spices - I cannot make out which exact ones it holds. Has a sharp note just before the finish which holds a decent bitterness.
