Commercial Description:
Star anise and coriander, combined with a Danish ale yeast give the beer a distinct Christmas flavour of ripe fruit, liquorice and spices.

unclear brown with lasting head. Aroma of alcohol, dried fruits and som sweet malt. The dried fruits are apperant in the taste as well, but the caramalt are detectable too. Finishes a little dry with just enough hops to make it work. Ok beer

I have tasted both the 2004 and the 2005 and have some in my cellar for maturing. Its a mahogany red beer, with a nice and creamy head. The mouthfeel is rather oily, and the aroma has sweetness, notes of raisins and plum. The flavour has a lot of dark fruits like raisins, plums, fig, roasted malt, cane sugar, nuts and coriander in the finish. A nice beer indeed!

Light malty / caramel aroma. Small light brown head. Virtually none lacing. Fully diminishing longevity. Cloudy brown body. Moderate sweet initial flavor.

Sale in Netto: 1$ (5kr) per piece, as it is past it’s season. The beer pours an and opague very delicious looking colour (brown with red tones), and it looks unfiltered allthough I can’t imagine it actually is. The head looks OK, not rough, neither silk like, but a little more than medium what’s concerned to both it’s appearance and duration. The aroma has notes of yeast and hops plus a lot of different (belgian) fruits. The flavor that has nice notes of berries and much other belgian stuff; among them cristmassy spices and maybe nuts, is accompanied by a good hoppiness the entire way through. The alcohol isn’t very obvious for a 8,3% beer, but the palate is as full-bodied and creamy as one could wish. Brilliant for a Carlsberg.
