chrismwpcs (72), South Hedland, Australia Aug 13, 2007 Funnily enough I think Carlton Cold is a very close relation to good old 303. I guess some days when you feel like a smoother lighter flavour the ol’ oh three was a good beer. Slightly sweet with a low to moderate carbonation and no real hoppy or malty flavour, this beer is one to drink when you are feeling ill! Nemo (100), Fremantle, Australia Jun 29, 2004 Amber-Yellow in colouring with a cloudy small sized head. Hints of a kind of woody and wheaty aroma. Sickly corny, bitter sweetness is in evident in the flavour. Watery and disappointing. grant60 (185), Perth, Australia Dec 10, 2003 made only for queensland, but managed to find this in one liquor store in Perth(not that i was looking for it). open the can and you immediatly get an aroma of shit. it is a dark amber colour. darker than most of these crappy cub lagers. has a distinctive corn sweetness, and is very light on the cub, skunk. quite watery. better than i expected. Sully (1367), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia Nov 11, 2003 Found this in Noosa. Wish I had left it there. Typical mid-strength beer that Queenslanders seem to go for. It is a bit funny, if it is light they won't touch it, but if a mid strength it should be popular. I suppose the name is trying to suggest that but the imagery of the placing of a full can on a fencepost and blowing the crap out of it with said eponymous rifle is hard to dispel. Catadobe (112), Australia Dec 11, 2002 Ahhh, now as far as I know you can only buy this beer in Queensland. I know that they pushed this very hard in FNQ pre Carlton Cold. It has a very similar flavour which means not much at all. OlJuntan64 (1267), Perth, Australia Sep 14, 2002 Pale amber-gold clear under a smallish size, lasting chunky head. Very faint woody hops aroma. Very light body. Very faint bitter and corn sweet watery thin palate. Yet another Aussie beer embarrasment.
