Commercial Description:
Carlton Cold was launched in 1993 and enjoys a significant share of the packaged full-strength beer segment. Cold is produced with a cold-filtration process, pioneered in Australia by Carlton & United Breweries and is also the first beer in Australia to be packaged in clear glass and the only beer packaged in unbreakable PET bottles.

Typical CUB product, horrible. Way too sweet and no real beer taste or smell. Head and froth when visible similar to washing up detergent. I wouldn't be surprised if that was an ingredient as the important things like hops and malted barley appear to be missing. This, like all beers in clear bottles tastes crap and should be withdrawn from sale for the sake of mercy on people who like beer. Just terrible.

It quenches the thirst on a hot Aussie day if nothing else. Its not bad, but not really good either. It seems to be popular with younger drinkers (and I'm only 21) and girls who aren't really beer fans.

A very simple easy, crisp beer from Carlton. Nothing to really speak about, just make sure you keep em cold and drink em quick, that's what they're only good for.

This beer was marketed at a youth age bracket, and is quite popular amongst some. I am not one of them, as the name implies drink the beer damn cold otherwise you might taste it, and that isnt good. Two words preservatives and artificial. cheers

Middle of the road beer, its alright when cold but doesn't have much of a flavour. I had a few bottles that had been sitting on the shelf for too long and they were awful. But when its fresh and cold its ok.

A pretty standard beer. Drink ice cold and it tastes alright, looks better than it tastes.

Not much body to this beer, but is clean and crisp. Needs to be drunk very cold as the name implies becuase it is not a very good tasting beer. Cheap but a better choice would be tooheys extra dry.

Drink it as cold as you can and then maybe the mucky, dirty taste won't be quite so bad.
