bridge (659), Sydney, Australia Dec 20, 2007 This is how beer smells. Well, at least this is how 99.9% of the beer drunk in Australia smells - sweet and full of Pride of Ringwood. Tastes even worse, the sickly sweetness managing to have me pulling a face of disgust without even realising. This can somehow be tolerated if drunk with very small sips, but who the hell does that when drinking a beer under 5% abv. However it comes in a great clear bottle that lets you see exactly how the beer looks. How good is that!
InvictaAndy (52), Helsingborg, Sweden Oct 7, 2008 Bottle: Pale and sparkling apperance. Sweety, malty and citrus in nose. Taste malty, corn, metal with a thin bitter finisch. ChristianScheffel (2216), Odense, Denmark Oct 2, 2008 Golden with a lasting white head. Weak aroma of caramel and metal. Clean and thin sweet caramelly flavour. tarjei (1300), Bryne, Norway Sep 27, 2008 375 ml bottle, bought at Vaaland, Bryne. Clear golden color, fine white head. Aroma has hints of fruit and malt. The flavor is very thin, with some sweetness and maybe malt. Very thin stuff. Ole_R (1289), Oslo, Norway Sep 20, 2008 375 ml bottle. Good-looking, mostly diminishing white head. Brilliant golden color. A note of fruit and cardboard to the nose. Light sugary grain flavor. A touch unfresh bittering hops and a light lemony note. Skinny body. Fruity, light sourish ending. Not that bad, utterly boring only. Sigmund (1961), Hafrsfjord, Norway Sep 4, 2008 375 ml clear bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.6%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, fizzy, with a big to moderate lasting white head. Moderate fruity aroma, notes of candy and citrus. Zesty mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately sweet with some fruity notes, minimal hops, bland finish. Not much to write home about here. Far from undrinkable though.
