It has a tiny white head that disappears quickly but leaves a fine lacing that descends slowly through the glass’ walls. It has a hoppy smell but nothing interesting whatsoever. Bitter and dull flavor

Golden color, small white head. Sweet, a bit fruity but light aroma. Light, carbonated. Sweet malty flavor. Leaves a bit sweet aftertaste. Good thirst-quencher, clean and uninspiring. Monty84 (18), Perth, Australia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 2, 2006 When you see the golden bottle with the fancy writing you get tricked into thinking that Crown Lager must be something really special. So when I actually tried this beer I was so disappointed. There isnt anything wrong with it, its quite a nice beer - its just that it isn’t anything out of the ordinary either. Its not really much better than Tooheys or VB. The only thing is that it seems to be a bit smoother and less bitter. Despite this Crown Lager is definitely over priced and should not be dubbed "Australia’s finest beer". JonMoore (1562), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 31, 2005 Bottle. Golden colour with a slim white head. Some malt, some hops, some skunk in the aroma. Flavour was better than I was expecting, as in it had some. Sweet malts and light bitterness in the taste. Light body, moderate carbonation.
I can’t say as I would seek it out. budman12 (10), USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Oct 14, 2005 This is a very expensive Aussie beer. The beer just does not justify the price as any Aussie could tell you. It’s not like it’s here where a 12 of Michelob is only a couple of dollars more then a Bud 12. It’s a big difference between a VB 12 and a Crown Lager 12.
Besides the price it’s just a simple mass produced beer. There are better beers down under then this one. Magicdave6 (5558), London, Greater London, England
