Way too sweet and way too overpriced for the ordinary crap it is. CUB have succeeded in another marketing coup. How do they sell this dishwater at the price? Trogdor (193), brisbane, Australia

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Nov 30, 2003 I would have to say that this is a highly overates beer. It doesn't offer much over the traditioanl Australian brews and isn't really worth the premium price. That being said it isn't a bad beer, just once again nothing great about it. dreamboat (186), Brisbane, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 12, 2003 Looks and tastes a lot like the rest of the Australian MegaLagers, but with perhaps a touch more hop flavour and bitterness. Not even close to worth the price that is asking for it, for what is basically a regular aussie beer. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 22, 2003 Pours a light yellow color with streaming carbonation and thin white head. Not much aroma to speak of. The flavor has that "apple cider" flavor prevalent in so many Australian beers. Easy to drink and refreshing. Muggus (193), Sydney, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 9, 2003 The standard "classy" Aussie beer. Not my favourite, but I enjoy one once in a while. Quite easy, although there is an apparent sweet sharp bitterness to the flavour. Essentially just an extra classy VB. bfgill (120), Tasmania, Australia
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 6, 2003 Lets get one thing straight... pretty gold label and a massive price tag does not make a nice beer. It is frustrating to me that this beer is so popular (CUB must have great marketing skills), it has no real might over CUB's lesser priced beers VB or fosters. A bit smoother maybe but also a lot more sickly. If someone offers you one, take it but never never buy it. cheers lasonovich (151), Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 3, 2003 I swear its VB in a different bottle. Well it is a little bit lighter and a little smoother but still pretty average for all its claims to be asutralias premium beer.
