Aroma is pretty horrible. Dirty, grainy aussie malt, no hop aroma (guessing isohops is used).
Flavours are equally boring, if slightly more palateble. Sweet grainy malt and some weak plain bitterness.
Pretty high carbonation.
First beer that’s made me feel sick after half a glass. Vertical Bacon Strips (924), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Plain old average straw colour, produced some white head, but I only had a sip in a glass to see the colour. Drank the rest out of the bottle - I had to...it was a cool bottle and begged to be drank out of. Turned out to be a decent slamming beer. Smelt not bad - probally - has to be local swill in Aust., too bad it was on the weak side - some malts and a slight chemical odor. Flavour was pretty weak too, but non-offensive. Bland malt and yeast with a bit of hops. Went down smooth and quick leaving a minor bitter aftertaste that was enjoyable. rmussman (906), California, USA

Agree with other rathers that the raised emblem on the bottle is the high point of this lager. Not that it’s bad, just unremarkable and rather bland. floydian1 (293), FNQ, Australia

A light yellow lager with a small rapidly disappearing white head. Nose of sweet malts and very subtle floral hops. Flavours of grainy sweet malt with a medium-light body. Sickly sweet finish. Extremely bland. This is Australia’s best selling "premium" beer which just goes to show the power of marketing and packaging on the average beer drinker. Sad.. armando629 (1018), Budapest, Hungary
