Not as bad as American macros. Pours thin gold. Decent aroma, easy to drink. Nothing special.

No 628, Rated 05.12.2008, Bottle brown, 375 ml, contains sulphur dioxide, Appearance Pours almost perfectly clear body in texture, body colour is qpaque golden, quite intensive not weak or yellow, or yellowish but just beautiful golden body, carbonation of the body is moderate, head is very impressive, snowy white, frothy in texture, very regular, consisiting of very small thin grains, there is a nice lacing, when comes to size head is initially big and long lasting over the time, slowly decreasing but not disappearing completely, Aroma My first impression is that the aroma is unfortunately deprived of hops what to expect from macro Australian Plae Lager, gently sweet notes of malted barley and slight notes of pop corn, chalky, corny, slightly dusty, clean aroma, its a pity this doesnt have any hoppy profile as than would remind me of some Czech Bohemian Pilseners, Flavour Very simple but it has an interesting hoppy factor becoming finally present in flavour, slight and very gentle bitter, herbal, leavy hoppy scent in nose and on palate make this beer together with quite high carbonation on palate quite refreshing, much better than Carlsberg although in Poland very rarely found and extremely expensive due to the export being only reasonable to buy due to curiosly and tasting rating purposes, quite nice Pale Lager surprisingly becoming rich in mild hoppyness not being present at all in aroma, citrusy, herbal, spicy, leavy hoppyness with gentle grainy malty backing going together with corn and pop corn, some flowery notes at the end in nose, finish duration is moderate, Palate Body is light, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is lively, finish feel is grainy, chalky with sweetness of maltyness and corn with herbal notes

Pours pale yellow with a small head. Light malt, corn, sour taste. Uninspiring but a 5 for marketing.

Probably the best beer here in Victoria. It doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s hopeless on a world scale but if we want to rate it amongst the local mass produced(1) sh*t, this one takes the prize. 1. when compared against Carlton Draught, VB, MB and XXXX.

Just don’t know how it can make the claim "finest beer". but marketing rubbish to one side, this has taken a while to review and only because there were some leftovers from a recent party. Aroma is skunky, appearence is gold straw with trademark CUB Chemical head. Flavour is a mix of corn sweetness, cardboard and abrupt POR bitterness.

Bottle, yellowish pale colour, thin lacing, watery, a bit malty, slighty sweetish, strong in alcohol volume but this is certainly not mirrored in taste. Poor.
