Commercial Description:
Carlton Diamond Draft is an innovative, great tasting, full strength beer from Carlton and United Breweries. It has been especially brewed to be less filling. The refined traditional brewing process, known as fine brewing, uses special hops and Australian barley to deliver a beer of brilliant amber clarity. The taste is crisp with a fresh tangy finish.

Clear in Amber Colouring with a long lasting white smallish head. Hint of sweet barley in its aroma. Clean and crisp, but very watery and lacks any flavour. Very unoffensive and pointless to drink, unless you are looking after your calories.

They don’t brew this shite anymore. It was a failure in every sense of the word due to poor sales. Thank god this muck met its watery death some time ago. Frankly I don’t see the point in low-cal beers. If you’re trying to lose weight, then you shouldn’t be drinking beer.

Obviously Diamond is a girl's best friend, coz it ain't mine. I love a description that says it is deliberately brewed to be less filling. Read that as "we didn't want you to think that you were drinking real beer."

The advertising campaign said it's good for those watching their weight. Well, I'm happy with my weight, but even if I wasn't I'd rather gain a few calories than drink this again.
