If the finish would not be, it would be a normal average beer. Peculiar Sherry aftertaste, which remains sticking on the tongue. madquacker (729), Canberra ACT, Australia
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Jun 20, 2004 What demon from hell created this? It has a putrid chemical taste that makes even VB taste good. A sickly claw at the back of your mouth starts the taste followed by a robust lingering taste of vomit. The vomit is complex and swirls around the palate before finishing up as metal shavings. Truely dire. thesonofdad (5), Australia does not count | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 13, 2004 Typically CUB - Clean crisp and bitter. Best drunk in large quantities. Easier on the palette than most of its brewery bedfellows. Great price! Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England

Bitter sweet aroma. Bitter flavour to begin with but then a long sweet aftertaste lingers on the palate. Drinking at extreme pace with some old mates, I haven’t yet made up my mind on this beer. All I do know is that the marketing of the stuff has gone crazy since I was last here. leungie (19), Sydney, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 10, 2004 like a VB but more refreshing and more hoppy, but of course, CUB does brew one big batch then ferments it separately according to each beer, so not really surprised. liams (8), Australia does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2004 a nice simple cheap beer. does the job its sposed to and has a reasonable flavour. What it does have going for it is its ability to pass the lips comfortably without any next morning regrets. It is by no means a remarkable beer, but for a cheap, refreshing and non-challenging lager it hits the spot. Best served as cold as possible, this pale looking lager has an almost non-existant head and you really won't want to be swirling it around under your nose for too long. Unfortunately the aroma is of little more than chemicals. Taste wise, I detected a fair bit of rice but other than that nothing remarkable. This certainly isn't the best Australia has to offer, but both the country and CUB have certainly produced far worse.
