Perhaps this is a function of my general dislike of pale(er) beers, but it’s really nothing to get excited about. Pretty much like drinking beer flavored water, which I understand some people prefer. guil0000 (106), New Brunswick, Canada

Aroma is malty and skunky hoppy. Flavor is the same and crisp. This is a decent pale lager. bookman10 (88), Osseo, Minnesota, USA

Sure, it’s nothing special, but most American mass-produced beers are nothing special either. I had a couple of glasses of this with a lunch at the St. Kilda Hotel in Melbourne and couldn’t have asked for anything more. TheGrandMaster (1866), Auckland, New Zealand

A slightly deeper gold and a shade more nutty sweetness than the other pale lagers I tried in Australia. Other than that it was the same - off-dry with the slightest hint of bitterness and best consumed on a hot day after you’ve become sick of water. deathevocation (6), Australia does not count | 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Jun 1, 2008 The best of the Australian macros by far. Still doesn’t make it anything special but if you’re at a pub and it’s a choice between this or VB, Tooheys, XXXX, West End etc - Carlton wins hands down every time. Not that I have to say it but don’t bother with the bottled/canned product.
