Commercial Description:
Carlton Draught is one of Australia's biggest selling tap beers. This traditional full strength lager, available nationally, is renowned for delivering "brewery fresh" taste. Carlton Draught provides a crisp mid-palate flavour which is balanced with a clean hop bitterness and a slightly dry finish.

Due to its ubiquitiness one does get to sample this often. It is unpretentious bland but invokes pleasing memories of good pub sessions.

Virtually non-existent aroma, very weak. Pours a nice well rounded clean lager that looks very enticing. Light bitter flavor - nothing special. Average palate with not much aftertaste or complexity.

One of the few Carlton products that actually tastes of anything, this automatically makes it the best beer they make and the only one you should risk buying on tap. It’s a good ’session’ beer and, unlike VB, Tooheys New and other appalling rubbish, won’t give you a banging hangover the next day. If you’re from any European country east of Belgium, leave well alone: you’ll only upset yourself. But if you’re a Pomanian or American, go for your life.

Carlton Draught. Not an overly good beer, not an overly bad beer. Moderate carbonation, slightly bitter and can really only be drank icy cold. I won’t go out of my way to drink this beer.

Bland and sickly - Even the much maligned VB is a better drop than this stuff.

Had this with my steak when I was in Melbourne. It’s pretty alright, went down well with my steak, but it seem a little weak. At least it’s not as crap as Tiger beer (cat’s piss).

Draught - Mid golden, nice head, some hop bitterness detectable. Quencher after a day at Dreamland with the kids.!
