Commercial Description:
Carlton Draught is one of Australia's biggest selling tap beers. This traditional full strength lager, available nationally, is renowned for delivering "brewery fresh" taste. Carlton Draught provides a crisp mid-palate flavour which is balanced with a clean hop bitterness and a slightly dry finish.

Classic Aussie draught beer, not great, but nothing better than drinking one at your local on a hot aftenoon.

Bottled(375ml). -Brought by a friend from Melbourne (Australian Open). Pours a pale golden coloured with medium sized long-lasting white head. Lively carbonation, salty bready nose. Weak malty, pleasant mild hoppy and slight bready aroma with nice apple notes. Crisp and dry with mild hop bitterness in the finish. Easy drinkable and refreshing.

The first beer I ever drank, so not one that holds happy memories for me... :-) Despite the adman’s claims about it being "renowned" for its "brewery fresh taste", I think it’s more renowned for being OK but not a good as VB. A bland Australian pale lager that goes down well on a hot day at the pub.

Pale gold colour with a tall, short lasting, and rocky white head. The aroma is negliable. The body is thin, but normal for the style. The flavour is terrible, it’s not bad because it lacks flavour, no, it just plan tastes bad, like adjuncts, weird bittnerness that doesn’t remind me of hops and a bad aftertaste.

Clear gold colour with smal white head, corn aroma, sweet malty taste with burnt smoke aftertatse. Typical CUB.

Good pub beer, tastes even better on tap, one of CUB’s best all round beers.
