Late hopped? Maybe they actually put them in too late, i.e. in the fermenter/kettle after the beer was already pumped out, and none of the flavor/aroma got in. All marketing/hype and no substance, save just a hint of malt sweetness. Punters may be afraid to embrace this amber fluid en masse, but rest assured the second half of the case is just mischievious and adventurous as the first beer of the day. Really quite bad, but I thought the little corrugated parts on the bottle were a nice touch.

Though they managed to remove the foul chemical metal taste of VB they also took out any discernable flavour. I’ld prefer the chemical foulness of VB over this bland beer to nowhere. The labelling is also rediculous. I hope they take a bath on this dog of a beer. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA

Light fruit aroma-again there is the grape thing going on with all these Australian beers. Lightly hopped flavor with more fruitiness and a bit of alcohol, even for a 4.3% beer. Overall, not bad. Refreshing. Nemo (100), Fremantle, Australia

A hint of chemically, bitter hops aroma. Bitter, almost malty flavour. Very boring, flatish type of beer. Lacking any true flavour. warrenlw63 (8), melbourne, Australia does not count | 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Apr 28, 2004 Suckers! Provide a now-generation ad campaign with Ekkied up teenagers and a new phallic-like bottle... Just pop in some crappy Carlton Cold, sell it at some nightclub and you’re away. Where’s the so-called late hopping. Suckers
