(Can 37,5 cl) Clear, golden with a creamy, lacing, white head. Sweetish corn aroma. Thin and watery with very sweet - almost sticky - corn accents. No bitterness. According to the label this should be "Double Hopped". Funny guys there at CUB marketing.... 230108

Well now the old Carlton saga, pour gold, fair head turns to lacing aroma hoppy, fruity,so far so good flavour metallic bitter but sour and salty at the finish, typical of Carlton beer.

Another same old same old CUB beer. Thankfully these mid-strength beers don’t taste as bad as the regular CUBs, but that doesn’t say much. With a vigorous pour I managed to get a nice fluffy head that hung around a little while, especially in my Movember moustache. Like most beers in this country it’s brewed for guzzling at 2 degrees C. zzzzz

(draught) what is it with the Australians calling pale lagers "bitter"? Medium-pale gold, small white head. Faint malt aroma. Flavor is fairly mainstream lager, some hops bitterness, but not as crisp as a pilsner.

Yeesh. Carlton you have fucked it up again. All your ad campaigns still won’t convince me to "stay a little longer" Serve this swill up to lose your mates. That is a given. Harsh beer, light carbonation and just too chemically enhanced to be considered.

375 ml brown glass bottle. Golden coloured with a large frothy white head which dies back to a thin long-lasting layer. Thin bodied and rather watery. Moderately bitter. Refreshing but no real flavour.

375 ml bottle - Clear gold with a good frothy white head and nice lacing, Slightly watery mouth feel, Not much in the flavour department but a reasonable medium bitter and refreshing finish. Not a beer I’d buy again but if someone offered me one on a hot day I’d take it.

Golden, reasonable bitterness. Nice head. Fair mainstream offering - better than most
